Position Information Reporting to the Associate Recreation Director - Facilities and Operations the Risk Management and Safety Training Coordinator will function as the departmental liaison with the Campus Risk Manager. The position will work closely with the Recreation programmers, operations staff and administration to develop appropriate risk management practices, procedures and policies.

Degree Requirement Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required

Working knowledge in the following areas: risk management; insurance; forecasting and analysis; accounting; knowledge of common organization-specific computer application programs; knowledge of organization processes and procedures; understanding of organization rules and regulations. Proficient interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, active listening skills, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to concisely present complex risk findings and make recommendations verbally and in writing.
Additional Information Demonstrated ability to resolve issues related to institutional recreation, sports, fitness and experiential education, including facilities, equipment and participant safety.
