The primary purpose of this position is to administer Risk Management and Insurance programs on behalf of our University clientele. This position takes a lead role in the administration of the insurance program categories of Property Insurance, Campers, International, Study Abroad, Inland Marine, and Athletic Accident. This position also entails providing customer service and consultation on other categories of insurance coverage and risk management topics.
Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Knowledge of insurance policies and programs.
Knowledge of Financials and IRM Insurance Application program.
Excellent communication skills, oral & written.
Ability to maintain accurate, comprehensive records to include working with Microsoft Excel.
3 years of experience in the insurance industry and or 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping.

The primary function of the organizational unit, Insurance and Risk Management, is to administer and manage a comprehensive risk management program for the University to include insurance procurement (property and casualty), risk management consulting, and claims handling.
