The Risk Services Coordinator will perform a diverse, comprehensive range of duties for Risk Services, a department under General Counsel at the university. The position requires tact, diplomacy, and discretion regarding a wide variety of areas of a sensitive and confidential nature. The Coordinator must be comfortable working independently and frequently under deadlines and changing priorities, providing project management and department support including but not limited to:
managing multiple risk and insurance projects and schedules
developing and maintaining systems for pending action items and ongoing projects
arranging a variety of regular, periodic, and high-level meetings
directed research on a variety of topics
organizing and coordinating events
drafting, editing, and sending correspondence on behalf of the director and/or department
triaging and reporting claims
promote compliance with university programs, including minors on campus, and provide related training/education.'
The Coordinator may serve as liaison to other departments and divisions of behalf of the department.
The candidate must be able to perform complex technical and administrative work involving the use of independent judgment, initiative and accuracy and be able to exercise discretion and judgment in resolving problems.

The candidate must be able to communicate professionally and effectively on behalf of the department and be able to proficiently manage relations with constituents at all levels across the university including communications with Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, Deans, senior staff and their staffs.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent legal or risk management/insurance experience.
Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive professional office experience, preferably working with confidential information.
Strong and resourceful computer skills are essential, with a proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio and willingness to learn others.
Must be flexible and able to adapt to various situations, possess exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills. Must demonstrate initiative, sound judgment and decision making ability and understand the importance of independent work but also value team contributions.
Responsibilities:
20% - Project management including tracking assignments, organization, record keeping, setting meetings, monitoring for on time delivery, and reporting out on projects. Prepare statistical and narrative reports including design and, in some cases, content of presentations, signs, marketing materials and infographics; develop and maintain website for updates, changes, accuracy and compliance. Maintain files and databases for the department. Review, verify and prepare documents related to department activities and budget as required. Provide other department support and related duties as required.
35% - Coordinate, review and facilitate registration of management of university global insurance program. Review applications and registration forms for accuracy, perform audits for compliance. Support Insurance Program Manager and perform other assigned tasks and projects. Provide training and assistance to constituents with application process. Responsible for invoice preparation, payment and tracking.
20% - Travel related insurance and logistics. Research pertinent information in order to ensure compliance with university and insurance requirements and prepare letters for travelers. Address requests for insurance verification letters. Work with director and university resources on compliance and risk issues related to global travel. Participate in periodic university initiatives regarding training and awareness regarding risk and insurance matters related to global travel.
25% - Claims Processing: Triage and report claims as needed as well as address and handle correspondence and other requests. Facilitate the scheduling of claim reviews with both internal and external attendees. Draft and distribute meeting agendas. to attendees in preparation of reviews. Provide other department support with regard to claims as required.
