Provides strategic project management, leadership, and builds a continuous improvement process for the Office of Business and Finance, finance and supply chain business processes and reporting. Responsible for planning, design, development, communication, training, and execution of the project life cycle for Business and Finance's Finance and Supply Chain with a focus on continued improvements and enhancements. Business Process improvement and alignment initiatives involving multiple functions, business units, technologies, systems, reports, and stakeholders. Collaborates with and engages stakeholders with full authority for the execution and delivery of strategic program objectives and deliverables, providing recommendations on scope, schedule, resources, budget and risks. Leads the team of business analysts responsible for aligning business functions and processes across the enterprise and therefore must understand the financial processes considered in scope for the effort. Works with management across the project and determines how processes and reporting can assist in addressing the needs of the enterprise, then translates needs into requirements and design specifications identifying in the delivered solution; drives the design of the interim and/or long-term solution to meet the needs of the business. The Associate Director coordinates dynamic teams of individuals who meet business objectives, schedules, and outcomes, but will drive toward process improvement and alignment as the first approach to resolution. Serves as a team lead within the project by providing coverage for management in meetings, monitoring project quality, managing a project plan and contributing to project status reporting.
Bachelor's degree in information systems, accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; at least seven (7) years of experience in working with general ledger and financial systems with an emphasis on accounting and financial reporting; experience with Workday or other reporting tools (Tableau); excellent Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access) skills; strong analytic skills; good written and verbal communication skills; a willingness to adapt to new business technologies/processes; ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience with formal project leadership and project lifecycle methodologies. Ability to communicate effectively with employees, peers, leadership, customers, vendors, technical team members, and others.
Master's degree in a related field or a CPA; broad-based knowledge of accounting and financial reporting systems and processes including the preparation of financial reports; familiarity of higher education, and healthcare/academic medical centers; Lean Six Sigma certification or similar business process improvement and alignment experience preferred.
The Target Hiring Range for this position is $116,000 to $155,000 per year.
