Responsible for providing leadership and management of the Campus Enrollment Centers and the District Student Accounting Department to ensure quality student business services. The Student Business Services includes campus Enrollment Centers, cashiering, book vouchers, availability of convenient payment methods for student, outside agency/company billing, tuition and fee incentive/waiver programs, timely disbursement of financial aid funds and tuition refunds and collection of money due the College.
Provides leadership and management of the Campus Enrollment Centers and the District Student Accounting Department to ensure quality student business services.
Assists the Executive Director, Accounting & Financial Operations with developing and implementing strategies to increase efficiency of the Student Business Services
Collaborate with other student affairs departments to facilitate the student’s ability to pay tuition and fees and thus attend Cuyahoga Community College
Recommends and implements strategies to improve consistency of service to prospective and current students in the college
Ensure prudent fiscal management of federal, state and local tax dollars
Maintain the Student AR module for the College ERP system
Plans and directs activities related to student account receivable, cashiering, and collections
Oversees the disbursement of financial aid and processing of student refund requests
Oversees the administration of third-party contracts, including invoicing and collections.
Oversees various student payment platforms
Oversees student book vouchers and First Day Book
Oversees various student payment plans, debt forgiveness, tuition incentive programs
Administers course pricing
Responsible for completing 1098-T reporting requirements regarding qualified tuition and related education expenses and scholarships to the IRS and students
Submits reporting information to the Department of Education related to student fees
Posting cash transactions to the general ledger. Maintaining table entries and mapping account numbers in the accounting software programs.
Reviews and analyzes doubtful accounts for financial statements
Provides strong customer service and student advocacy as demonstrated through a positive attitude of approachability, adaptability, strong problem solving and a desire and support student success.
Provides direction and assistance to staff for month end close and year-end closing and audit.
Establish department goals, objectives, and strategies to improve operations
Ensure compliance with College, state, and federal laws and regulations

Researches best practices related to all areas of responsibility

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
Significant related experience may substitute for education
Minimum of seven years of progressive Accounting, financial management or related experience

Demonstrated experience hiring, training, developing, scheduling, supervising and managing the work performance of others
