The Financial Analyst will report directly to the Associate Vice President, Administration and Finance and is responsible for analyzing financial performance to determine present and future performance, assisting with managing all upgrades & enhancements to all IT platforms and databases and assisting with managing daily operations of the office. Overall responsibilities include financial analysis, budget reporting, forecasting, data compilation and collaboration.
Responsibilities and Duties
Analyze current and past University financial performance and trends to determine present and future performance.
Provide reporting of the University’s revenues and expenditures through various models and forecasting.
Create detailed financial reports and summaries on a regular basis for AVP, Administration & Finance and executive management, including President’s Council.
Collect and compile data to provide CFO and other executives an accurate financial picture of the University’s financials at any given point in time to serve as the basis for Executive level, data driven decision making.
Analyze data in Oracle Cloud, including Planning & Budgeting Cloud Services.
Monitor the technical, behind the scenes, functioning of all Oracle Cloud applications & modules and ensure data is in sync.
Assist with managing all upgrades & enhancements to all IT platforms and databases, including Oracle Cloud EPM and Planning & Budgeting Cloud Services.
Manage divisional and departmental budgets to ensure adherence. Assist with various financial, accounting, and budgetary requests from departments across the organization.
Provide a high level of customer service to all stakeholders of the University, both internally and externally.
Assisting with the preparation and development of the University’s annual operating budget request that is submitted to the Maryland State Legislature for final approval.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Two years of related experience
Master’s degree in Finance or a related field preferred.
Experience in higher education.
Experience with cloud based ERP’s, especially Oracle Cloud Financials and Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud System (PBCS).
