This position is responsible for various campus-wide insurance programs. This includes placement, recordkeeping, and billing of certain insurance coverages for the University and in some cases for the coverages of University-affiliated entities. This position oversees, directs, investigates and resolves insurance claims and losses for the campus community reported through Risk Management Services. Coverage and claims consulting to the campus community is also required.
Knowledge of policies and procedures related to insurance programs provided by the state of NC Department of Insurance and ability to apply this knowledge in assessing coverage needs investigating, researching and processing claims and losses. Consulting with campus customers on coverage needs and claims management. Ability to communicate technical requirements of insurance coverages and claims management to a wide variety of campus constituents.
