What will you be doing in this role?
The Manager, Risk Management is responsible for providing consultation to physicians (clinical and non-clinical) and staff of the Medical Delivery Network and affiliates on risk/claims issues and/or healthcare issues related to the delivery of care throughout our clinical operations. This role researches ambulatory/physician/health care issues to facilitate risk control activities and risk assessment throughout the network and its affiliates to reduce number, severity, and potential losses. The Risk Manager leads staff to develop successful risk management plans and strategies.
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or related field Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Publich Health, JD or similar preferred
CA Registered Nurse License Preferred
Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) required or willing to obtain within 6 months from start date
ASHRM or CPPS Preferred
A minimum of 3 years of progressive responsibility and complexity surrounding risk and/or claims experience required 3 years of clinical experience preferred
