With five campuses and numerous other sites, IRSC is the dominant educational and cultural center in the four-county region it serves. Some 30,000 students, representing nearly every state and more than 110 foreign countries, study at IRSC annually. IRSC Global offers 15 online degrees and hundreds of online courses. Courses within IRSC Global degree programs are nationally certified through Quality Matters (QM).
Indian River State College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. It is a member of The Florida College System, a network of 28 state colleges that operates under the auspices of the Florida Department of Education.

Since its inception in 2000, the Indian River State College Employee Development Program (EDP) has expanded into a comprehensive program that coordinates developmental and training opportunities for faculty, staff, and administrators. The purpose of EDP is to identify, develop and provide strategies, resources, tools and offerings designed to support and increase the effectiveness of Indian River State College employees.
