This position is responsible for directing the planning and operation of the University Risk Management Department. Typical responsibilities include overseeing the administration of the University’s Worker’s Compensation program, strategic review and analysis of incident and injury reports, recommending and implementing mitigation initiative, ensuring appropriate claims reporting to insurance carriers, overseeing the application preparation for the purchase of General Liability, Auto Liability, Property, Directors and Officers, Pollution, Professional Liability, and related excess insurance, to include meeting with the broker and underwriters.
