This position performs various functions of purchasing agent, budget manager and operations analyst for the department. This position must possess strong working knowledge of purchasing/procurement policies and procedures, especially those relevant to a State Institution. The position must be knowledgeable of a wide variety of food types as well as foodservice equipment. The position will have proven knowledge in the areas of food product quality standards, budget preparation, and general analysis principles.The position is a member of the senior management team. They must maintain a close working relationship with other departments and offices on campus such as, University Procurement, Accounts Payable, General Accounting, Physical Facilities, Athletics, University Sustainability
