The GRC Team Lead coordinates the activity of the team, sets and attains tactical goals in the context of the security strategy, maintains a high level of knowledge in all relevant disciplines, provides support and coaching to team members, and assists senior leadership in setting the strategic direction for the university Information Security Program.
MSU Information Technology provides the primary leadership for strategic, financial, and policy initiatives affecting information technology (IT) across MSU. MSU IT offers technology resources that support MSU’s mission of providing education, conducting research, and advancing engagement.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program; five to eight years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in an information technology area related to the duties to be performed, including experience overseeing large, complex or critical information technology projects; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead, wielding both influence and authority.
Industry-recognized standard security certifications.
Experience developing and delivering information security training or awareness materials.
Information Security policy and program development
Strong understanding of all concentrations (Governance, Risk, and Compliance)
Minimum of two years demonstrated experience in information security risk management
Direct experience with security industry regulations/stand
