The Director/Senior Director of Risk Management is responsible for oversight of the University's Insurance, Enterprise Risk Management, and Youth Protection programs. Additionally, this position leads the University's processes for identifying, analyzing, managing, monitoring, and reporting of key risk management issues. The ideal candidate for this position must be adept at supervising a high performing team, exercising appropriate discretion in making all University insurance decisions, managing the University's Insurance Broker relationship, as well as effectively communicating with leadership and building partnerships with internal campus partners.
A Bachelor's Degree, eight years of relevant work experience with three years supervisory experience, and an active Christian faith are required. Five or more years of relevant experience in higher education risk management, insurance, or business administration, as well as experience with state and federal laws and risk mitigation are preferred. Preference will also be given to candidates who hold a CRM or other professional certification in risk management or insurance.
This position will be filled at either the Director or Senior Director level. Baylor University reserves the right to make the final determination of a candidate's qualifications for appropriate titling.
