This is an exempt position with a salary range of $45,357 to $50,828 per year. Remote work is not available for this role.
The Workers' Compensation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the management of the University's self-insured workers' compensation program system-wide and providing crucial support to various internal and external stakeholders related to the program. The Workers' Comp Coordinator plays a critical role in establishing procedures and facilitating decisions that balance employee coverage and cost-effectiveness for the University.
Duties and responsibilities of the Workers' Compensation Coordinator include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsible for the oversight and day-to-day management of the University's workers' comp program, serving as liaison between the University's injured workers, third party administrator (TPA), treating physicians, and campus departments
Ensures University compliance with Federal/State OSHA record-keeping regulations and standards by independently completing/ maintaining monthly OSHA 300 logs, yearly OSHA 300A logs, and annual Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses for each campus location
Independently designs and conducts work comp training presentations to UT System supervisors upon request, via in-person or zoom training sessions.
