POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT The University of Florida is seeking to fill the vacant position of Director of Auxiliary Services in Business Services. UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA The University of Florida is a top-10 public, comprehensive, land-grant, research university. UF is the state’s oldest and most comprehensive university. UF traces its beginnings to a small seminary in 1853. It opened its doors in Gainesville in 1906 with 102 students. Today, it is one of the most comprehensive and academically diverse universities in the nation, with an enrollment of some 54,000 students annually. UF is home to 16 colleges and more than 170 research centers and institutes and offers nearly 300 graduate degree programs. POSITION SUMMARY The Director of Auxiliary Services, reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Business Services, is responsible for management and oversight of designated business operations, contract management, program development and support, and customer services. The Director performs strategic planning and implementation, manages day-to-day operations, provides administrative support, and ensures excellence in service delivery. Internal business operations include campus mail services, printing services, and passport services. Business partner relationships include the UF Bookstore service provider and oversight of the card services agreement with UF’s banking services provider. The director is also responsible for management of the UF ID Card office operations and related systems and interfaces, including coordination of IT needs with the Business Affairs Technical Services team. The director is a key member of a team of professionals in Business Services who are responsible for management and oversight of business and service units that provide essential services to students and the UF community including food and beverage services, vending, the UF Bookstore, campus mail services, printing services, and Small Business and Vendor Diversity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree in an appropriate area and 6 (six) years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and 8 (eight) years of relevant experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
