![]() Executive Director of Student Business Services
Under the general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Student Business services will direct and manage the operations of student business services.

Duties and Responsibilities Administrative
- Manages the Student Business Services office
- Develops and maintains the procedures for the assessment, collection, disbursements, and reporting of all student accounts
- Develops, maintains and communicates fee assessment tables
- Plans and directs cashiering services
- Administers and measures compliance of federal, state, and university regulations
- Manages all Payment Card Industry standards for payments processed through the student business services operation
- Prepares year-end financial accruals and deferrals entries
- Manages the 1098-T tax form reporting
- Maintains subsidiary ledgers
- Manages the reconciliation of specific clearing accounts
- Develops and manages student business services policies and directors
- Presents bad debt calculations for approval
- Monitors student business services budget
- Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates student business services staff
- Consistently interacts with the University accounting, financial aid and registrar's offices and routine addresses campus groups
- Manages the student business services software application
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Minimum Requirement Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Proficiency in computerized financial systems and spreadsheets
- Excellent human relations and communications skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to multitask with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong strategic planning and implementation skills
- Ability to work well with students
- Ability to interact effectively as a member of a team and work collaboratively with other departments
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or closely related field
- Master's Degree Preferred
- 5 years of relevant work experience in student business office required
- Previous experience in higher education required
- Three successful years in supervising staff, including hiring, training, supervising and evaluating employees
- In-depth knowledge and technical competence with student information systems
- Familiar with internal controls and policy development
- Excellent organizational and problem resolutions skills
- Advanced degree in Business Administration or Finance
