About the Role The Sr. Administrative Assistant performs a broad range of clerical, administrative and general office activities in order to support the facilitation of administrative workflow within the Workers' Compensation (WC) team. Supports an individual or multiple staff members by arranging their schedules, appointments and itineraries.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Report new WC claims to Third Party Administrator via internal WC database.
- Serve as back-up for the WC Modified Duty Program.
- Provide information to internal and external clients or customers.
- Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material.
- Coordinate and maintain paperless file system by scanning and indexing documents in electronic files and maintaining internal WC database up-to-date.
- Report and update WC leaves in HR Leave and Disability Management Department system.
- Assist with answering and directing phone calls, and route inquiries to other departments in the organization as appropriate and/or needed.
- Distribute and disseminate information within the department as needed.
- Scan and make copies of correspondence or other printed materials and compile basic reports.
- Act as Safety Representative for the department.
- High volume of data entry.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required by the Supervisor and/or Manager.
- Assist Risk Management team as needed or required by the Supervisor, Manager and/or Director.
