Hagerstown Community College, located in western Maryland, is pleased to announce that applications are currently being accepted for a Payroll Associate position. The Payroll Associate is responsible for the overall preparation and verification of the payroll for all college personnel.
Education and experience – Associates Degree in Accounting or a related field required; 3-4 years payroll and accounting experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Preferable experience with processing payroll using Kronos.
Skills and abilities - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; knowledge of accounting and clerical methods; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students and staff; ability to make difficult arithmetical calculations rapidly and accurately; ability to operate calculator; ability to operate computer; familiarity with automated payroll system.
