This position is in the Department of WU Physicians Billing Service. This position is for the Medical School Campus.
This position is responsible for the audit and management of patient insurance and demographic information in EPIC, Enterprise Index, and Initiate to ensure the integrity and accuracy of registration data. This is performed through the use of system tools, extracted reports, Web-sites, interaction with third-parties or directly with patients.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Resolve duplicate accounts, potential linkages and potential overlays across the multi-registration system through the Initiate application.
Review interface errors daily, to correct designated fields in order to allow data to move across registration systems.
Resolve duplicate accounts in EPIC identified through Enterprise Index.
Provide WUSM-Wide registration for centrally managed accounts (e.g. International accounts, transplant patients and donors).
Review and resolve EPIC Plan Coverage eligibility issues as needed.
Provide entry of registration data obtained via FPP Web-site.
Review and resolve accounts referred by PBS IS Help Desk or other areas regarding registration quality.
Special Projects and other QA or registration duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Manager.
Corresponding with a Centralized team associated with our Facility/Hospital partners.
High School Education or equivalent and two years’ experience in A/R follow up collections in a health care environment.
Must understand computerized billing systems, WEB based system tools and be familiar with privacy requirements, cross-entity communications and third party billing requirements.
Two years experience in A/R Follow-up in health care environment.
Excellent customer service skills.
Knowledge of Insurance Plans and their web based system tools, experience in EPIC Billing and EMR system a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Must be thorough, responsible, and organized with assigned tasks that require a great deal of focus on detail and timely resolution.
The hiring range for this position is $15.85 - $19.43 per hour.
