Oregon Tech is seeking applications for a financial analyst in the Budget and Planning Office. This is a 12-month, full-time position located on the Klamath Falls campus in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The successful applicant is expected to assist with the development, preparation, analysis, review and reporting of the University’s annual and biennial budget for all funds, prepare complex analyses, and will prepare regular and ad-hoc reporting. This position will have access to sensitive data as it is responsible for position control, reviewing and approving positions in HEROES, and communicating with departments regarding position budgets and thus requires integrity and confidentiality. Additionally, the position requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to make thoughtful, independent decisions for routine and non-routine decision-making. The ability to manage multiple tasks and strong organizational skills are required.
Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 1 year of experience in budgeting, analysis, or production. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Proficient user of computer applications and software programs including Excel, Word, and Adobe. Strong organizational and communication skills. Strong analytical skills & detail orientation.
Preferred: Two (2) or more years of experience in budgeting. Experience working in higher education or equivalent environment. Experience with Banner. Experience with Millennium FAST or other reporting tools. Advanced user of Excel. Experience developing process & policy. Experience in business case analysis.
