This position will support the International Programs Office in developing risk assessment protocols, emergency plans for study abroad programs, and related training resources.
Conduct a risk assessment and plan for one or more study abroad location that includes information such as Embassy contact information, evacuation plan, and vetted information on hospitals and clinics, transportation services, hotels, weather and other environmental factors, unrest or crime, and relevant norms.
Review and enhance risk assessment and emergency management protocols.
Develop and implement a course for faculty, staff, and students on travel safety, first aid, and emergency response.
*At least 10 years of experience coordinating disaster preparedness, planning, and relief.
*At least five years of experience in logistics management and/or medical care in international settings, including in higher-risk environments.
*Expertise and experience in risk assessment and safety and logistics planning.
*Experience developing and facilitating travel safety and risk assessment training for diverse individuals and organizations.
