St. Cloud State University seeks applications for a probationary (tenure-track) Assistant Professor of Finance, Insurance, & Real Estate in the Finance, Insurance, & Real Estate Department of the Herberger Business School beginning Fall Semester 2020. In addition to eight undergraduate majors, the School offers an MBA and a Master of Science in Information Assurance. In order to be considered for tenure, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to:
teach and/or perform assignment effectively;
conduct scholarly achievement or research;
continue preparation and study in discipline;
contribute to student growth and development; and

Teach Real Estate Principles, Property Management, Real Estate Appraisal, Managerial Finance, Investments, and other real estate and/or finance courses as needed, perform advising duties, and participate in committee and project work at the department, school, and university levels.
Master's degree in finance, real estate (or related area) from an AACSB accredited school.
Evidence of ability to teach real estate and finance, and work effectively with students, departmental colleagues and others in the university and business community
Evidence of ability to contribute to student growth and development
Evidence of the ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds
Doctorate in finance, real estate (or related area) from an AACSB accredited school or J.D. from an ABA accredited law school.
Minimum of five years of senior management experience in real estate. (Required if applicant possesses Master's degree only.)
Teaching experience in real estate or finance at a four-year university with student evaluations
As part of the interviewing process, candidates invited to an on-campus interview will be required to demonstrate teaching effectiveness and to present a current research project. The interview, teaching, and research presentations will be evaluated by the Search Committee and other interested Departmental faculty.
