The University of Louisville is seeking an Executive Director for Business & Auxiliary Services. The position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. This position is responsible for providing effective management and leadership for the University of Louisville’s Business & Auxiliary Services. This includes university parking and transportation, photography and television services, campus card services, campus leasing and contract services (dining, bookstore, vending, managed print, and campus mail.) Oversees all aspects of daily operational activities of the university’s Business & Auxiliary Services and manages a team of both general staff and professionals skilled in their trade. Serves as a strategic partner with various campus leaders, including the Chief Operating Officer, Dean of Students, Student Government Association and Housing Director. Additionally, this position serves as the contract liaison for major strategic service partnerships as designated by the Chief Operating Officer.
Provide strategic leadership to the Business & Auxiliary Services team.
Oversee university parking and transportation, photography and television services, campus card services and campus leasing.
Oversee all contract services to include campus dining, campus bookstore, vending, managed print, campus mail, and credit union. This would include the development and implementation of short and long-term business plans while ensuring all service contracts are in compliance.
Prepare revenue forecast and budget projections to develop and manage annual budgets for Business Auxiliary Services operations. Closely monitor revenue, manage all ongoing operating expenses and take action to ensure all budget targets are achieved, overhead is recovered and high value is maintained.
Develop and implement long-range and short-term service plans to deliver solutions that support the university goals for internal and external communication, innovation, sustainability, financial performance and compliance with all applicable statutes and policies. Engage and interact with departments and university colleagues to coordinate plans and contribute to overall goal of business services and the university goals.
Establish and maintain strong business relationships and rapport with vendor/partners, student organizations, department heads and key stakeholders including communications and marketing plans.
Serve as the University liaison with the Cardinal Card, CBORD, PNC, and Commonwealth Credit Union.
Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.

Bachelor’s degree in business management or related discipline.
Eight (8) years of progressively responsible business operations and contract administration related experience in a large higher education institution or private industry.
Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Proven ability to explain complex financial information and make presentations to various campus groups to include senior leadership.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize work to meet multiple, competing deadlines.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Effective leadership and management skills as well as a strong business acumen.
Proven self-starter with the ability to work with minimal direction and oversight.
Master’s degree in related field.
Large organization or institution contract management and negotiations.
