The purpose of this position is to serve as the chief information officer and provide vision and direction in leading all aspects of the College’s technology resources, services and areas of operation to support the College’s mission.
This is accomplished by overseeing of teams that manage all technology-based systems, including library and instructional technology services, web and enterprise services, technology risk and service management, network and infrastructure services, analytics services/institutional research, computer and software resources, technical support and training; and serving as a key advisor to the president and other members of the senior administrative team on technology strategies and initiatives to support student learning, service delivery, workplace efficiencies, and organizational effectiveness.
Leadership and supervisory experience within an Information Technology department aligning technology planning with strategic priorities
Experience planning and managing a technology budget and successfully overseeing major projects
Experience within higher education is preferred
Ability to navigate discussions regarding integration of technology operations to support the student experience and build a strong network of communication with direct reports, other departments, and executive-level colleagues
A leadership style that inspires others to use innovation to improve education through technology
A visionary for technology with skill in providing leadership for professional development for division staff and accountability processes for college faculty, staff, and students
A strong communicator interested in receiving input, sharing outcomes of decisions, and building a sense of trust
