This position specifically supports the mission by closely assisting the Director of Fiscal Planning & Budget in the preparation, coordination, review/evaluation, and distribution of the budget plan. Assists in the design, configuration, and update of the university's financial model. Provides analysis and administrative support to the Director of Fiscal Planning. Assists departments with preparation of comprehensive budgets and assists divisions with long-range planning of revenues and expenses. Researches critical topics, compiles data, and prepares reports to be presented to all levels of the organization. This position is significantly involved in the administration for the university's ERP system that supports the budget preparation, reporting, and financial modeling process of the university. Assists in all phases of preparing and estimating future revenues and expenditures for multi-year / all-funds budget plan.
Assists in configuration of new financial models and maintains existing models.
Reviews/evaluates/supports creation of divisional multi-year budget plans.
Provides comprehensive analyses and reports on a periodic or ad-hoc basis and provides continuous enhancement to management reporting.
Researches higher education trends/challenges and provides statistical analyses.
Serves as central budget administrator for various academic and/or institutional divisions and works with all levels of management to resolve budget matters.
Updates and maintains planning and budgeting software system used for budgeting and financial modeling.
Updates and maintains user security/access in planning and budgeting software system as well as creates and modifies the workflow processes within it.
Conducts budget preparation training and other financial related presentations.
