Under general supervision of the Service Line Manager and the Lead Ultrasound Technologist, the Sonographer in our Prenatal Diagnosis will rotate at our 4 outreach clinic sites, which include Playa Vista, Santa Monica, Tarzana and our home location at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The Sonographer will demonstrate knowledge and competency in field of certification, specifically in high risk OB. The Ultrasound Technologist will demonstrate the ability to provide quality patient care and may perform procedures on adolescent and adult populations being served.The ultrasound technologist will guide during CVS and Amnio procedures. He/she maintains competency skills including the ability to perform procedures on patients with diverse backgrounds, identify safety concerns in the age related population and institute measures to provide a safe environment, and effectively communicate/explain procedures based on the patient's age and make adjustments accordingly. Is accountable for all applicable documentation related to performance of procedures and patient /family education. He/she actively stays abreast of new technology, protocol updates, plans/coordinates multiple activities and adapts to the workplace changes. The Ultrasound Technologist will demonstrate self-improvement, make effective contributions to the department, and may serve as a preceptor for students.
