Our Perinatal Outreach Program partners with physicians throughout Los Angeles County and beyond to coordinate perinatal care for those who need it. Together, we work to provide the best level of specialized care and deliver treatment plans that help moms, babies and families.
We welcome consultations, transfers and transports of pregnant mothers and infants with high-risk conditions. We are particularly equipped to deliver comprehensive, holistic care for critically ill mothers and babies.
As a Perinatal Program Coordinator, you will report to the Executive Director of OB/GYN Services and be responsible for the growth of the programs associated with OB/GYN and Pediatrics. You will successfully generate an increase in the number of outpatient and inpatient referrals, procedures, and patient participation in various clinical and research programs. You will achieve growth and development of programs by creating new agreements with local hospitals, transition of current relationships into Maternal and Neonatal Transport Programs (aka Perinatal Program) service agreements and set up new referral relationships with key physician groups and hospitals in Southern California.
Other essential duties include:
Participate in the processes of care delivered in the departments of OBGYN and Pediatrics, including specialists and technology/services provided
Maintain the operations of the Perinatal programs
Oversee service agreements between the Medical Center and transportation vendors for proper communication of billing and revenue for CSMC and prospective hospital partners
Coordinate enrollment to OBGYN and Pediatric research studies available to patients transitioning to CSMC
Establish new relationships between Cedars-Sinai and outside hospitals
Transition current transfer agreements to transport agreements as appropriate
Provide monthly patient follow-up reports for referring hospitals
Manage the Telemedicine service agreements currently in place between CSMC and Telemedicine vendors
Facilitate the referral and movement of patients requiring higher level of care into CSMC
Collaborate with administrative staff to develop, manage, and produce all mailings, additional marketing collateral material and newsletters (where applicable) for the departments. This includes creating easy-to understand and informative patient brochure/pamphlets about the program and our cutting edge technology, programs and research studies
Travel to outlying hospitals as needed to facilitate meetings, presentations and educational sessions etc.
