The Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration will serve as chief business officer of the College. Responsible for planning, managing, and directing the College’s administrative and financial operations.
Supports the Chancellor in planning and managing the operations of the College.
Oversees the financial operations of the College to include accounting, budgetary control, investments, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Directs the annual budget development process to include preparation of enrollment and revenue estimates, the development of staffing and compensation plan recommendations and strategies for the most efficient allocation and use of all the financial resources available to the College.
Oversees all the network, telecommunication, and management information systems operations of the College.Ensures the College’s technology and network infrastructure are kept current and fully support the instructional, student development, and administrative functions.
Oversees, through the Human Resources Manager, the College’s employment processes, employee benefit program management, payroll, and risk management assessment and control.
Oversees, through the Maintenance Foreman, the facility planning and maintenance operations of the College to include anticipating and identifying long term facility needs, implementing specific renovation, remodeling, and new construction projects, developing funding strategies, managing all campus plant operations and maintenance function, and working with the Maintenance Foreman to identify campus maintenance issues and developing plans to address these needs.
Directs the work of renovation, remodeling, and new construction project planning committees.
Together with the Chancellor, oversees the acquisition of land to meet future College needs.
Oversees, through the Director of Procurement, the College’s operations to include purchasing, inventory control, safety, bookstore, vending, food service and pay for print.
Recommends policies and procedures to more effectively and efficiently operate the College.
Reviews and approves appropriate federal, state, legislative, and other reports.
Represents the College at the statewide system meetings and as appropriate, provide leadership on other state and local committees and councils.
Serves as a member of the Chancellor’s cabinet.
Chairs the College’s Budget Committee.
Ensures College compliance with related Louisiana Statutes and administrative rules and guidelines of the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget (JLC), Louisiana Community Technical College System (LCTCS) and subject to audit by the Louisiana Legislative Auditor.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution and/or CPA required, and a minimum of five years administrative experience. Must have extensive knowledge of fund accounting; demonstrated leadership ability; ability to deal effectively with a variety of constituencies, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
