UVAâ™s Department of Student Health and Wellness is seeking an Insurance Coordinator. This position is responsible for coordinating the University of Virginia's student health insurance program. Duties include assisting international and domestic students enroll or waive coverage and serves as a liaison between students and the student health insurance vendor. The Coordinator educates students, parents, staff and faculty on student health insurance issues; and prepares marketing and educational materials, website information, and outreach efforts. The Coordinator oversees a check out process that includes educating patients about insurance-related issues and is responsible for addressing patient and parent concerns regarding insurance. The Coordinator also evaluates the effectiveness of insurance education and counseling to students through various methods.
