The Biostatistics Program at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center has an open position for a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow under the supervision of Dr. Ziding Feng .
The desired candidate should have a PhD degree in biostatistics/statistics with a strong background in statistical theory and methodology and is interested in its application to biomedicine and public health. The selected candidate will closely work with faculty members in the research area of cancer risk prediction, early detection and diagnosis, and prognosis. This work will involve participation in, among others, the Early Detection Research Network, Translational Liver Cancer Consortium and the New Onset Diabetes cohort study.
The applicants must have a PhD or equivalent degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or other related fields. The candidate must have solid training in statistical methods and excellent computational skills. In addition, background in biology and genetics, and excellent organization and communication skills are preferred.
