The School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences (IAS) at University of Washington Bothell has an outstanding opportunity for an Administrator (Administrator- Program Operations, Grade 9).
A senior member of the IAS Leadership team, the IAS Administrator oversees human and financial resource management for the unit as a whole. This includes lead responsibility for (1) managing academic personnel processes (searches, hiring, onboarding, reappointments, promotions and attendant voting processes); (2) oversight for fiscal operations, systems development, reporting, and planning; (3) operational effectiveness and resource management (including office management, strategic planning, and facilitation of unit governance mechanisms).
The IAS Administrator leads an operations team composed of a Budget Fiscal Analyst, a Program Coordinator, and Fiscal Specialist (<.5FTE) in the IAS Administration and Dean's Office.
The successful candidate for this position will be:

Bachelor's degree AND minimum of 5 years progressively responsible administrative, fiscal and human resource/personnel experience, including supervisory experience.

Demonstrated ability to learn, initiate, evaluate, develop and improve upon processes and procedures.
Demonstrated fiscal management, analysis, and reporting skills and experience.
Demonstrated ability to use judgment and resourcefulness to resolve issues effectively, independently and collaboratively.
Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing); to listen to and respond to people from diverse backgrounds and at all levels; and to develop productive, ongoing working relationships.
Demonstrated capacity for team and personnel management, development, and leadership
Demonstrated ability to work in and across complex organizational and administrative systems (eg, for reporting, processing, tracking) and to learn new systems and technology as required for the job
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite of programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Sharepoint.
