The University of Maryland is seeking a dynamic individually to join the Office of Student Financial Services & Cashiering.
The Associate Bursar will direct and manage the day to day operations of Student Financial Services and Cashiering that includes the areas of Cashiering, Financial Services Center, Operations and Third Party Billing.
The Office is responsible for centralized student billing (tuition, fees, room and board, etc.), financial aid disbursement and providing customer service in support of these activities for students, families and departments on campus.
The position ensures the accuracy of billing and recording of payments, efficiency of processes, and maintains a high standard of customer service for the organization.
The position supports the Associate Comptroller in establishing policy, implementing new programs and services, and monitoring compliance with state and federal regulations.
The position will play an integral role in review, selection, and implementation of a new Student Account Receivable/Student Information System (SAR/SIS).
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Accounting or related field.
A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible management experience of which three (3) years are in Student Financial Services or equivalent.
