Anderson University is seeking an experienced financial controller to undertake financial analysis, budget planning and management. Individual will serve as director of the Business Office, be responsible for operating budget, preparation of annual audit, year-end closing, and financial statements. Position is responsible for maintaining general ledger and chart of accounts. Individual will serve on various committees.
A bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree and/or CPA is preferred. A minimum of five years’ prior experience in combined accounting and finance required. Successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of business and financial principles and practices applicable to both non-profit and higher education as they apply to local, state and federal levels. Successful candidate will have prior experience which includes excellent customer service, working knowledge of computers, accounting software, Microsoft Office, organizational skills, public speaking, ability to delegate and lead; experience managing professional and clerical staff, and analytical thinking skills. Knowledge of PeopleSoft is advantageous. Must meet University lifestyle expectations.
