Grinnell College is currently seeking a motivated, well-organized individual to be part of our Dining Services team.
Responsibilities: The Associate Director will serve a lead role in the daily operation for residential dining to ensure high quality, cost efficiency and service to customers. Provide leadership and direction to the dining hall staff including the dining hall supervisors and oversight of student employment programs such as Student Leader, Passport, and Star Performer programs. In addition, the position will be responsible for customer service and overall marketplace presentation; administer the CBORD menu management programs; special dietary and nutrition programs; coordinate special student events and staff development for assigned staff. Assure excellent operational standards that meet departmental goals. Assist the director and management team in development of long-range planning and the development and monitoring of budget and performance standards.
Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and at least three years of experience in food service or related area. Previous supervisory experience and working in a College or University dining facility preferred. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills are required.
