The Director of Student Accounts reports directly to the Associate Vice President for Finance and provides direction and leadership for the day-to-day operations of the Student Accounts and Loans area within the Office of Student Financial Services with special emphasis on compliance with federal regulations, efficient use of technology, communications and customer service. The position collaborates with the Director of Financial Aid in the overall operations of the Office of Student Financial Services. The Director is a key leader who brings fresh ideas and perspectives, possesses an ability to build consensus and institutionalize policies that are both practical and innovative while focusing on the University’s commitment of enhancing student success.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Five (5) years of progressive finance, receivables or related experience preferably in a public higher education environment. A minimum three (3) years supervisory experience including proven success in supervising a team of knowledgeable professionals. Experience managing budgets for accounts receivable operations. Business acumen, professional demeanor with the highest regard for ethical conduct combined with strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for the role.
