Reporting to the President, you’ll be responsible for both the strategic direction and day-to-day, hands-on execution and communication of Human Resources and Risk Management policies and programs in support of our mission and goals. Working with four team members, you’ll work closely with academic and administrative leaders, faculty and staff to meet the growing needs of the organization.
Ensure all Human Resources and Risk Management programs meet the growing needs of the University.
Continue the process improvement work already started to enhance the experience for faculty and staff, particularly in the areas of simplifying and automating processes.
Support the development of the team.
Serve as the Title IX Coordinator for the University.
Oversee all employee programs including recruitment, benefits, HR systems, compensation, performance management, and employee relations.
Regularly assess all benefits to ensure the best plan for the best price, compliance with regulatory requirements, simplification of administration and customer experience.
In collaboration with other internal stakeholders, participate in the design, implementation, upgrades or replacements of HR systems.
Develop and deliver educational information to promote a positive employee relations environment.
Works with internal and external partners in the negotiating the labor contract for faculty on the Rindge campus.
Oversee and implement the Risk Management program based on analysis of property, employee, environmental, claims management and financial risk exposures.
Partners with subject matter experts to manager the insurance portfolio, facilitate renewals and manage claims.
Works with internal committees, faculty and students to promote proactive safety initiatives.
10+ years progressively more responsible leadership experience with a passion for both rolling up your sleeves and maintaining the long view.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree. Master’s preferred. SPHR or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
Previous union negotiation experience is a strong plus.
Demonstrated success serving as a trusted advisor to colleagues at all levels.
Demonstrated ability lead through change and manage multiple priorities.
