The Office of Audit Services at Oregon State University is seeking a staff auditor. This is a full-time, 12-month, fixed-term professional faculty position.
Key responsibilities include: • Performing and managing the planning, fieldwork, reporting, and documentation for assigned audits, advisory services, and investigations in accordance with professional standards and office policies. • Identifying key financial, operational, compliance, and reputational risks for the areas under review and designing audit procedures to assess the high-risk areas. • Developing effective working relationships with institution management while maintaining professional ethics and departmental standards, and a focus on the common goal of continual improvement and achievement of objectives.
Required qualifications include: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field from an accredited four-year college or university. • Candidate for Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification. Progress required towards CPA certification within six months of hire date. Ongoing, demonstrated progress required with final certification obtained within two years of hire date. • Proficiency in accounting and business coursework. • Demonstrated strong work ethic through paid and/or volunteer work experiences.
