Description: UW-Whitewater, Director of Bookstore Services, Division of Student Affairs
The Director of Bookstore Services plans and directs the administrative operation, services, and financial affairs of the University Bookstore, including the Textbook Rental Service.
Assumes the administrative responsibility for support staff, student employees, and professional staff selection and supervision, as well as administering the financial operations of the Bookstore and Textbook Rental.
Experience in personnel management, supervision, coaching and mentoring with full and part-time staff members.
Leadership experience in developing a cohesive work unit, realizing a vision, creating short and long-term goal and planning/prioritizing projects.
Experience in financial management and budgeting, utilizing appropriate and effective software tools in retail environment.
Solid understanding of customer service with a demonstrated capability to identify and meet customer needs.
Experience in management and maintenance of point of sale systems and software tools used for managing a retail business.
Experience developing and management of marketing plans in a retail environment.
Experience in inventory management.
Experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships with partners and stakeholders that are affected by the business at large.
Excellent communication skills.
Bachelor Degree in Business or related field and 4 to 6 years of management experience.
