Senior Associate Dean and Chief Administrative Officer

Reporting to the John C Head III Dean of the MIT Sloan School of Management, the Senior Associate Dean and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) is directly responsible for finance, human resources, technology services, faculty and research services, and facilities, and will oversee the organization's strategic planning process. S/he optimizes day-to-day operations toward the fulfillment of the School's mission. The CAO oversees the financial management strategy, strategic planning, and most of the School's administrative units, including human resources, technology services, faculty and research services, and facilities. The CAO will also act as deputy to the Dean on all related administrative matters.
Strong candidates for the position would hold an advanced degree in business and experience in nonprofit or higher education administration is preferred. Ideally, candidates would also demonstrate a thorough understanding and broad experience with the full range of business functions and systems, including strategic development and planning, business analysis, finance and budgeting, information systems, and human resources.
