Under the general direction of the Student Health and Counseling Management Services Officer, the Insurance Supervisor manages and administers all facets of the Student Health Insurance program for undergraduate and graduate students at UC Riverside. In consultation with Senior Administrators, Student Health leadership and student leadership, plans and determines annual goals and objectives and negotiates the undergraduate and graduate general policies and plans. The Insurance Supervisor directs office activities; annually collects and disburses premiums of approximately $10.5 million; determines waiver standards and comparable coverage levels; markets and disseminates information related to student health care plans. The Insurance Supervisor is a member of the Student Health management group and provides supervision to 3 FTE. Student Health provides comprehensive medical services, with an educational orientation, in support UCR's diverse student body and their health and wellness needs including primary care clinic, in-house medical lab, pharmacy and x-ray services, women's health, travel, dental, psychiatric services, preventive care and health education. Student Health is a Student Health and Wellness Services department and shares the mission to raise awareness and facilitate action in developing life long health and wellness practices by UC Riverside students.
