Performs follow-up insurance billing and collection activities. This position requires extensive knowledge of the aspects of GE/Centricity billing with emphasis on debits and credits.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews and resolves correpondence and remittances to verify the validity of refunds.
Respond to refund requests from insurance companies and patients in a timely manner.
Researches misapplied money, returned checks, and credit card corrections.
Reviews, enteres and edits insurance registration information as needed.
Display excellent communication and problem solving skills.
Good working understanding of medical billing, insurance Explanation of Benefits, payment posting, and insurance plans relating to credits and debits.
Superior goal accomplishment skills, ability to organize time, work independently, and handle confidential material.
Experience in GE/Centricity and/or other GE Healthcare applications.
Equivalent of High School diploma with 2 to 3 years of experience in medical collection setting preferred.
This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week.

The hiring range for this position is $15.24 - $18.68 per hour.
