The Director of Risk and Program Management seeks to identify, analyze and document the risks associated with DORED's business operations, as well as monitor the effectiveness of risk and program management processes, and implement needed changes. The Director focuses on university-wide compliance for operational, contractual, technology and asset-related risks and is responsible for negotiating Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs) related to the University's Federal contracts for research and sponsored program activities. The position reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Research.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
The Division of Research and Economic Development (DORED) manages N.C. A&T's research enterprise. DORED provides services to faculty and student researchers, to current and potential research partners, funding agencies, and economic development agencies. It is headed by the Vice Chancellor for Research and Economic Development.

A bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, economics, business management, statistics, computer science and/or other related fields is required.
Two years of related experience in risk assessment and program management is required.
A master's degree in risk management, finance, economics, business management, statistics, computer science and/or other related fields is required.
Five years of related experience in risk assessment and program management.
