This position is responsible for the placement, record-keeping and billing of certain insurance coverages for the University. The position may oversee and resolve insurance claims and losses for the campus community as directed by the Insurance & Risk Managers within EHS. In the course of handling placement and claims support, this position may provide consultation regarding insurance coverage and claims. This position also maintains data related to coverages and claims to generate management reports. Additionally, this position will act as the primary contact for the University's Business Continuity program and serve as a seamless back-up for the Insurance & Risk Managers when necessary.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Bachelor's degree with three (3) to five (5) years of insurance and risk management experience; ability to understand and perform insurance policy analysis and reporting; ability to understand international study abroad programs, particularly in a higher education environment; ability to understand Business Continuity and its application across the organization; ability to work in a collaborative team environment; communicate requested information to individuals and groups in a timely fashion; apply the policies and procedures of the University; maintain records and prepare reports; manage and analyze data from multiple platforms; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
