Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times, greeting members and guests with a smile and eye contact immediately upon their arrival, using their name or acknowledging them, and thanking them for their business. Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities. Ensures confidentiality of member information. Plays a vital role in enriching the community by participating in community service organizations and/or credit union sponsored events on an annual basis. Ensures the quality and accuracy of policies written and that they are in compliance with the agency's minimum requirements and company underwriting guidelines. Ensures staff adherence to all policies and procedures. Ensures the quality and accuracy of reports generated and presented by the System Administrator. Assists in the establishment, maintenance and monitoring of internal controls in the insurance division. Communicates company regulation changes to all staff and leads research of changes as the main point of contact for company representatives. Produces and submits various reports as required by UICCU Insurance President or others as necessary. Develops, designs, creates, and distributes any and all reports critical to the proper management of the department. Provides support and assistance to personal lines, commercial lines, systems administration, accounting and training to ensure policies are written and serviced according to agency and company guidelines. Assists with Marketing for the development and implementation of specific UICCU Insurance marketing, strategies and plans. Responds to member and staff inquiries, complaints and suggestions regarding UICCU Insurance division, products and processes. Maintains current and thorough understanding of changes within the legal, regulatory, economic, competitive, and technology environments that may affect the insurance services function. Maintains current and thorough understanding of company underwriting guidelines. Coordinates vendor management procedures and requirements for Insurance Department vendors. Maintains, reviews and establishes UICCU Insurance, LLC (CUSO), reviews, establishes and implements CUSO policies and procedures to maintain timeliness with industry standards ensures legal compliance and enhances productivity recommending changes as needed. Researches, coordinates and is responsible for the implementation of new insurance and agency systems. 21. Researches, coordinates, and drafts responses to inquiries from the Insurance Commissioner, when requested by the Insurance Commissioner, in conjunction with UICCU Insurance president. Maintains all company vendor relationships (including underwriters, marketing representatives, Allied Solutions and AMS360) Provides assistance to Personal Lines in the effective execution of their duties and assignments. Provides assistance to Commercial Lines in the effective execution of their duties and assignments. Provides assistance to System Admin/Accounting/Training in the effective execution of their duties and assignments. Conducts interviewing, hiring, and termination of staff directly under supervision with assistance from HR. Coordinates the training and cross-training of direct reports. Confirms incentive payouts for the Insurance Department. Creates, updates and maintains commission spreadsheets for CSAs to track their monthly commission amount. Quotes/Markets new business/prospects as requested via walk-in, referral, inbound, outbound, cross sale, cold call, phone, and internet quote requests from website. C
3-5 years of insurance industry and/or management experience, with knowledge of P&C and life underwriting, claims (P&C, Life and Health), vendor management and insurance support roles. 4 year college degree. Must hold Personal Lines, Life, and Health licenses. Ability, availability, and willingness to work flexible hours to accomplish work load. During periods of peak demand and at other times, job will require a non-traditional workweek with extra hours including evening and/or weekend duties. Ability to prioritize, organize, and process paperwork accurately and efficiently. Excellent analytical skills. Ability to work with multiple priorities and to work under and meet deadlines. Ability to solve problems independently and maintain control in high stress situations. Ability to operate related computer applications. Knowledge of procedures, forms, market guidelines and regulations as they relate to insurance products. Commitment to ongoing professional development through industry-sponsored educational programs Ability to deal tactfully and efficiently with employees, members, co-workers and vendors on a professional manner. Effective and strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to supervise employees and maintain effective/efficient workflow within insurance operations. Ability to use a personal computer and related software including Word, Excel, agency management system and effectively navigate websites with little direction. Confidence to meet with members in person to handle various functions or resolve service issues. Must be bondable.
