The Senior Budget and Contracts Administrator will work closely with the Associate Dean for Finance & Administration, the Director of Finance, the Outreach Budget Analyst, the Registrar of the Outreach Division, the Director of Administration, and the Director of the Conference Center to manage all the revenue and expense contracts for the Outreach Division within the ILR School. This includes directing the development of project budgets for external clients and partnering with the Outreach units with pricing and costing decisions and proposals to ensure net margin targets are achieved and support business analyses and reporting.
The position will help oversee the financial operations of the Union Communication Services (UCS) unit to ensure financial procedures are properly followed including tax issues, inventory accounting, and billing. The position will also work with ILR's two conference centers (NYC and Ithaca) on internal and external billing issues and external contracts and internal cost distributions.
Serve as the NYC expert on the use of Salesforce for managing revenue and expense contracts and integrating this with the Outreach registration process.
This position will also be the primary contact person for emergency management oversight in the NYC Office reporting to the Director of Infrastructure Operations.
This position will have supervisory responsibilities. Position has considerable latitude for exercising judgment and self-direction.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business law, economics, or related field with 5-7 years' experience.
Knowledge of revenue contracts such as insurance requirements, intellectual property issues, tax issues, and risk.
Experience in budgeting, financial analysis and fiscal reporting.
Must possess the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of people, apply knowledge and understanding of details involved to make independent decisions, understand the academic, administrative and business needs of the organization.
Ability to understand and navigate formal and informal decision-making networks and to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders within a highly decentralized organization, and with individuals external to the organization.
Proven success in leading projects through influence and collaboration.

MBA, JD, MA in Accounting

Experience with Cornell policies and procedures in the areas of purchasing, accounting, and accounts receivables and payable.
Knowledge of Cornell on-line systems; Kuali, Salesforce, data warehouses, Accounting Seed or Steelbrick, e-SHOP and other purchasing systems.
