Associate Director, Research Administration Compliance & Risk Management - Office of the Vice Provost for Research-(17001588)
Responsible for internal and external sponsored program audits and initiatives to manage research administration risks. Works closely with Pre-Award and Post-Award Research Administration offices and counterparts in the schools, centers, and departments to gather information requested by auditors. Gathers data, develops and prepares management reports necessary to continuously assesses institutional risk and makes recommendations for remedial efforts in keeping with the Office of the Vice Provost of Research's mission statement and level of risk tolerance.
Knowledge and skills as typically acquired through completion of Bachelor's degree.
8+years of experience with award financial management, compliance, and external and internal audit with demonstrated progressive responsibilities.
Extensive knowledge of sponsored programs regulations in particular Uniform Guidance and related areas of regulatory compliance.
Excellent ability to prepare financial reports, reconciliations, and presentations of financial information to the management.
Understanding levels of potential risks and how to address each risk.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in sponsored programs administration in a university, hospital, or non-profit research setting.
Designation of Certified Research Administrator (CRA) or Certified Financial Research Administrator (CFRA).
