The Budget Office at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse invites you to join our professional team by applying for the position of Budget Analyst. We are currently seeking applications to fill two full-time positions.
We are looking for the type of employee who understands financial management, is an articulate communicator, and can support the team philosophy. Under the general supervision of the Budget Director, this position is responsible for conducting detailed policy and resource analyses to support decision-making, planning, and institutional assessment for University divisions. In this position, you will focus on delivering data, information, and service to a wide variety of campus units.
The Budget Analyst will need to acquire knowledge of the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents’ policies; University of Wisconsin System’s guidelines and policies; and university, college, and departmental policies and procedures. The position will be required to utilize this knowledge to analyze information, conduct research, and provide recommendations to campus leadership. The Budget Analyst will be responsible for utilizing financial systems and data analytics across multiple functional areas to forecast and track revenue, expenditures and balances. He or she will take a service-focused approach to provide guidance in budget planning with the assigned Division to develop and attain University and Divisional goals and initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a business-related field.
Business training or relevant financial management and financial analysis experience.
